What does monofilament mean?

Monofilament wigs are machine made, or handknitted wigs with a lace of skincoloured micro tulle. They have tried to imitated the scalp. Even if the wind blows through your hair, no stitches or any sign you are wearing a wig/hairpiece are visible.
